It is with great sadness that we have taken the decision to close here at Whitemoss Lodge. We are closed completely for three weeks, until Monday 13th April, at which time we will reassess the situation and act in accordance with government advice on social isolation.
We are so sorry to all of the bookings that we have had to cancel, we hope to see you all again on the other side of these crazy times.
In the meantime we hope you all stay safe and stay home!
Lots of love,
The Whitemoss team x
In light of everything that is happening with the COVID-19 virus, we wanted to provide all of our guests with some more information about what we have been doing here at Whitemoss Lodge. We have made some important changes that will help keep us all safe at this time.
In the interests of social distancing we will be operating a self-check in system. Each guest will be informed by text on the day of their booking which eco pod they have been allocated, your key will be left in the pod door and you will be invited to go straight to your pod on arrival. If for any reason you do not receive the text, then don’t worry, a list will be posted on the door of the main reception with each guest’s booking number, surname and pod number.
We are still available to help you with anything that you may need at any time, either when checking in or at any point during your stay, we simply ask that you telephone our main number 07508525649 and we can chat to you over the phone. Please do not hesitate to call! There is also plenty of information that may be useful to you in the Guest Information folders in your pod.
Increased Levels of disinfection
Our pods are always cleaned to an extremely high standard, but at this time we will be taking extra special care to fully disinfect all frequently touched surfaces and objects (e.g., tables, countertops, light switches, door knobs and cabinet handles) using strong disinfectant solution.
We have removed all soft furnishings that cannot be disinfected from the pods, all decorative cushions and bedspreads have been removed. The linen that is used on the beds is sent to us by an external linen company and is therefore washed at extremely high temperatures between uses, is plastic wrapped and has not come in contact with any linen previously used by other guests.
Sadly, infection is not the only problem COVID-19 is causing… we will be limiting the pods to just one loo roll per night I’m afraid, but please do let us know if you need any more! : )
If you are concerned about what to do for dinner, then we can assure you that all our local takeaway restaurants are still open, and some deliver straight to your pod.
If you are lucky enough to get good weather then we can also provide delicious barbeque packs for use in our designated barbeque area containing locally sourced meats and barbeque coals. Just ask us in advance for further details.
We will still be providing breakfast delivered to your pods as usual, and we can assure you that all food is always prepared to the highest standards of hygiene here. The only change is where we would normally knock and wait to give you your breakfast, we will now knock to let you know it is there and then leave your basket on the veranda for you.
We hope that this has reassured you that we are doing everything we can to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our guests. If you have any further concerns or queries, then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
